Hi! I’m Krystal Lynch, and I’m a designer in North Carolina. I specialize in print design, interactive PDF design, and WordPress theme installation and customization.
I am a creator by nature. I love design. I feel like it’s my life’s mission to make things beautiful and harmonious.
I specialize in design for print and electronic publications (annual reports, magazines, newsletters, books), Blogger to WordPress migration, and WordPress theme installation and customization.
What was I doing before becoming a designer?
I earned a BA in English from East Carolina University and an MA in English from North Carolina State University. After graduating from NC State, I worked at Duke University for 10 years, creating engaging visual communications for the university’s donors. Through my knowledge of design, I helped lead my department in the creation of rich, comprehensive impact reports (print and digital) for Duke’s top-tier benefactors.
How did I get started in design?
During my time at Duke University, my department was given the task of producing comprehensive impact reports for Duke’s select top-tier donors. While at Duke, I took an InDesign class to help enhance my work. Soon I was able to apply my new skills to craft engaging, visually rich annual updates to donors who gave generously to the university’s facilities and capital projects. From then, my love of design flourished, and I continued to take courses to increase my knowledge and skill in the program. I became increasingly amorous with design and typography as my vision for my profession aspirations grew.
I wrote a book!
In April 2016 I published my first book, Affirmations: Rewrite Old Scripts and Deactivate Limiting Beliefs, which is currently available on Amazon.com. You can also check out my interviews with The Fierce Entrepreneur in which I discuss my book and my love for crafting.
A few of my favorite things:
- all types of dance
- drinking hot tea
- teasing my cat Leo
- listening to my favorite KPOP group, BTS
- all types of crafting
